There is an urgent need for more forest in the city. To provide shade, clean air, and a place for insects and birds to live. Adding a tiny forest to every flat roof in Rotterdam could form a vast new urban nature reserve: the Skyforest. Skyforest is an idea and design of LOLA Landscape Architects. Starting here, the tiny rooftop forest slowly takes over the whole roof of de Bijenkorf through veins of substrates and plants.
